Castleford Tigers sign half-back Mason Lino from neighbours Wakefield Trinity
Castleford Tigers have signed half-back Mason Lino from Wakefield Trinity.
Today’s (Tuesday) long-anticipated announcement comes a week after Trinity confirmed the Samoan, who joined them from NRL outfit Newcastle Knights ahead of the 2021 season, will be leaving when his contract expires this autumn.
Lino, 32, has signed a two-year deal with Tigers. Castleford director of rugby Chris Chester was coach of Trinity when the scrum-half joined them five years ago and is “delighted” with his latest recruit. He said: “Mason is a very smart rugby league player with a great kicking game.

"He is a great leader on and off the field and a player that every time he goes on to that pitch, he competes hard. I know how much Mason is looking forward to coming to Castleford and I know the impact he will have too on the playing group.”
