Disciplinary news: 2 Leeds Rhinos players and Wakefield Trinity man charged by match review panel
Two Leeds Rhinos players and one from Wakefield Trinity have been charged by the RFL’s match review panel following last weekend’s semi-finals.
Trinity’s Jazz Tevaga will be available for Saturday’s Betfred Super League Grand Final against Warrington Wolves despite being accused of a grade B trip during his side’s shock win at Wigan Warriors. Tevaga, who was sin-binned in the first half of Trinity’s 33-6 victory, was handed three penalty points and fined.
Players effectively begin the post-season series with a clean record. Points from the weekly rounds are not applied during the play-offs, but will be added to a player’s record for the next campaign. Rhinos’ Harry Newman and Cooper Jenkins also fell foul of the review panel following Friday’s controversial 14-12 loss to Warrington.

Newman received three penalty points and was fined for grade B ‘other contrary behaviour’ over allegedly taking out an opponent in the air. Jenkins avoided any further punishment after picking up a single point for grade A late contact on a passer.
In the Championship, Oldham’s Josh Drinkwater was suspended for two games after being charged with grade D questioning the integrity of a match official during yesterday’s (Sunday) play-off semi-final defeat by London Broncos. His teammate Morgan Smith faces no further action over grade A contact with a match official.
