Forward linked with Leeds Rhinos joins Wigan Warriors
A forward who had been linked with Leeds Rhinos has joined one of their Super League rivals.
Wigan Warriors have signed 25-year-old prop Oliver Wilson from Huddersfield Giants. Wilson began his career with Bradford Bulls in 2018 and joined Giants the following year. He went on to play 114 times for Huddersfield and was capped by England against France in 2024.
Wilson said: “I’m really excited to be signing with Wigan. When I heard they had an interest, it was an easy decision for me to make. It’s a great club and I can’t wait to get going in pre-season.”

Wigan coach Matt Peet added: “We’re really pleased to bring Oliver to the club. He’s a talented and determined player. We believe he’ll thrive in our environment and contribute strongly to the team moving forward.”
