Leeds Rhinos awards night: all the winners as Jake Connor sweeps the board

Leeds Rhinos have held their 2026 season awards night at AMT Headingley

Jake Connor has been named Leeds Rhinos Rob Burrow men’s player of the year.

The half-back completed the treble after also winning the players’ and fans’ honours.

Ella Donnelly has been named Leeds Rhinos’ women’s player of the year, chosen by the coaching staff.

Players’ player of the year awards have been introduced for the first time this year. The men’s Spirit of the Rhinos winner, voted for by his teammates on a weekly basis, was Jake Connor. Receiving his trophy, he said: “It’s a good feeling I have come a long way since I have been at this club. I just want to do my best each week and be the best player I can.”

The scrum-half was also Rhinos’ fans’ player of the year. The first women’s Spirit of the Rhinos winner was Connie Boyd.

Veteran winger Ryan Hall has won Rhinos’ 2026 try of the year award. Hall’s touchdown against Hull KR is Las Vegas won the public vote.

Hall said: “It was a good one, but I feel quite embarrassed considering some of the tries Maika Sivo has scored. His won at Castleford was better than mine. He ran 90metres and I ran five, but it was a good team try.”

Young player of the year, an award open to youngsters in any of the club’s sides, went to Fergus McCormack. Presentations have been made to departing players including Ned McCormack, whose exit was confirmed this evening. He is set to join Wakefield Trinity next year with that move likely to be confirmed this week.

First team analyst John Fletcher was named ‘clubmate’ of the year. Millie Sadler is the women’s under-19s player of the year at the end of a season when they won all 10 games, including a double against Wigan Warriors.

Player of the year for the men’s academy is first year under-18s forward Robin Smith. Chris Young was named physical disabilities player of the year, the Learning Disabilities Super League went to Andrew Forth and Cameron Hills was wheelchair player of the year.
