Leeds Rhinos coach Brad Arthur and Wigan Warriors' Matt Peet nominated for top Super League award

Leeds Rhinos’ Brad Arthur has been nominated for a top award.

Arthur is on a three-man shortlist to be named Betfred Super League coach of the year, along with Toulouse Olympique’s Sylvain Houles and Matt Peet of Wigan Warriors. The award is decided by a vote of all 14 top-flight team bosses and the winner will be announced at the Rugby League Awards Night in Manchester on Tuesday.

Arthur, in his second full season at Leeds, led Rhinos to second spot in the table and their first home semi-final since 2017. They have six players in the Super League Dream Team and full-back Lachie Miller is a Man of Steel nominee.

Having led Toulouse back into the top-flight, Houles has defied the odds to steer them to a best-ever finish of eighth in the 14-club competition. Under Peet, Wigan are on course for their second treble in three seasons having won the league leaders’ shield and Challenge Cup. They face Wakefield Trinity on Saturday for a place in the Grand Final.
