Leeds Rhinos duo banned by match review panel following reserves clash v Wigan Warriors

Two Leeds Rhinos players have been suspended after being charged by the RFL’s match review panel.

Forwards Dacx Jones-Buchanan and Joe Butterfield both received penalty points following incidents in Rhinos reserves’ defeat to Wigan Warriors last Friday, which was a curtain raiser to Leeds’ Betfred Super League win against Hull KR. Jones Buchanan will serve a three-game ban after being handed 18 penalty points for a grade E headbutt.

Butterfield, who was sent-off during the match, was charged with grade D striking and received 11 penalty points, leading to a one-game suspension and fine. The suspension will begin after this weekend and Butterfield is in contention to play on loan for Hunslet RLFC at London Broncos tomorrow (Saturday).

Hunslet’s Mo Agoro faces no further punishment after being charged with grade A late contact on a passer during last weekend’s defeat at Workington Town. He received one penalty point.
