Leeds Rhinos forward joins Castleford Tigers on loan
Leeds Rhinos have loaned another first team squad member to a top-flight rival.
Prop Tom Nicholson-Watton has joined Castleford Tigers on a week-to-week deal. He is the fourth Leeds player on loan at another Betfred Super League club, with centre Harry Newman and prop Jeremiah Mata’utia both having played for Hull FC in a 50-10 win at Tigers last week while pack man Ben Littlewood is at York Knights.
Tigers, who travel to champions Hull KR on Thursday, have ended front-rower Jimmy Beckett’s loan at Championship club Sheffield Eagles and yesterday announced the signings of prop Tyler Dupree from Wigan Warriors and utility-back Phoenix Laulu-Togaga’e, who was with Catalans Dragons.

Nicholson-Watton played for Rhinos reserves in last Saturday’s 36-24 win against London Broncos at AMT Headingley, but the second-string don’t have a game this weekend. The 23-year-old has made just one Super League appearance this season, in Leeds’ round one defeat at Leigh Leopards.
