Leeds Rhinos now Super League favourities: how Hull KR, St Helens and others predicted to fare in title race

Leeds Rhinos are now among the favourites to win this year’s Super League Grand Final.

Competition sponsors Betfred have Rhinos as 5/2 joint-favourites to be crowned champions on October 3, along with 2025 winners Hull KR and runners-up Wigan Warriors. It is the first time since 2023 a team other than Hull KR or Wigan have been favourites to lift the trophy at Old Trafford.

Leeds finished fourth last season and crashed out of the play-offs at the first hurdle. Their most recent appearance in the Grand Final was four years ago, when they lost to St Helens. They haven’t been crowned champions since 2017.

With a third of the season played Rhinos are top of the table on for and against from St Helens, with Warrington Wolves and Wakefield Trinity - who visit AMT Headingley on Friday - two points adrift. The bookies reckon the top-six race, to decide who goes on to the play-offs, is virtually over already, although three clubs outside the leading half-dozen are given an outside chance of getting their hands on the big prize. Here’s how Betfred rate the title chances of all 14 top-flight teams. Odds are correct at time of writing.
