On-loan Leeds Rhinos quartet set to feature as Hunslet RLFC chase 4th straight Championship win

Hunslet RLFC are heading into the “defining part” of their season, coach Kyle Trout reckons.

The Parksiders, who play host to Workington Town tomorrow (Sunday, 3pm), are on a three-match winning run in the Betfred Championship, though that sequence was interrupted by a heavy loss at Oldham in the 1895 Cup. “There are tests to come in the next few weeks, but we really think this next month could define our season,” Trout said.

“Workington would have pinpointed this game to win, but we will go after them. We started well last week and if we play at our tempo and don’t allow them to get physical, we are not afraid to expand early on and shock teams”.

New loan additions Riley Lumb, Joe Diskin and Marcus Qareqare are all set to feature for Hunslet, alongside their Leeds Rhinos teammate Joe Butterfield. “The lads coming in from Leeds are all quality players with energy and ability and are champing at the bit to get out there and play for us,” Trout added.
