Rhinos trailed 16-0 after half an hour and 22-6 with 30 minutes left, but battled their way back into the game and won it two minutes from time when Jake Connor converted Chris Hankinson’s try. The victory secured Leeds’ place in the play-offs – with five games in hand – and moved them four points clear of second-placed Wakefield Trinity and Wigan Warriors, who play their catch-up match at home to Toulouse on Saturday.
Isaiah Vagana, Caleb Hamlin-Uele and Jayden Myers scored Trinity’s first half tries before Brodie Croft pulled one back for Leeds just before the break. Jack Sinfield touched down early in the second period and landed his third goal, but touchdowns by James McDonnell and Cameron Smith chipped away at the lead, Hankinson levelled matters and Connor’s fourth conversion won it. Here’s how the Rhinos players rated.
