Referees have been confirmed for this weekend’s top-flight matches, including Leeds Rhinos’ derby at Castleford Tigers.

Liam Rush will be the man in the middle for Sunday’s all-West Yorkshire clash with James Vella as the video assistant. It is Rush’s second successive Tigers appointment and the first time he has refereed a Leeds game in 2026.

Rush was in charge of Tigers’ 24-18 loss at Leigh Leopards last Saturday when they had Louis Senior sin-binned controversially for a tackle which did not result in a charge from the match review panel. He is a new face for Rhinos this term, with Liam Moore having refereed them eight times in 2026, Jack Smith on six occasions and Vella, Chris Kendall and Tom Grant two each.
