Refs named for Leeds Rhinos v Hull KR plus Castleford Tigers, Wakefield Trinity and other Super League games
Officials have been confirmed for this weekend’s top-flight matches including Leeds Rhinos’ huge first versus third clash with Hull KR on Friday.
Chris Kendall will referee his second Rhinos fixture of this season. It is just the second time in 13 Leeds games neither Liam Moore nor Jack Smith has been in the middle, the previous occasion being last month’s home derby against Wakefield Trinity, which was refereed by Kendall.
Liam Moore has taken charge of seven Rhinos fixtures this year, Smith six, James Vella two and Tom Grant one. Smith, who is currently injured, is Friday’s video official.
Vella is the whistler for Castleford Tigers’ home meeting with York Knights the same evening, when Liam Rush is on video duty. Grant makes his Super League return from injury in Sunday’s match between Wakefield Trinity and Huddersfield Giants. Matty Lynn is the video referee.
Appointments for Betfred Super League round 16 are: Warrington Wolves v Catalans Dragons - Marcus Griffiths (video, Liam Moore); Leeds Rhinos v Hull KR - Chris Kendall (video, Jack Smith); Castleford Tigers v York Knights - James Vella (video, Liam Rush); Hull FC v Wigan Warriors - Liam Moore (video, Tom Grant); Toulouse Olympique v Leigh Leopards - Tara Jones (video, Aaron Moore); Bradford Bulls v St Helens - Liam Rush (video, James Vella); Wakefield Trinity v Huddersfield Giants - Tom Grant (video, Matty Lynn).
