Rugby League on TV: how to watch Leeds Rhinos at Widnes Vikings & other Challenge Cup ties
Three of this weekend’s Challenge Cup ties will be televised or streamed live, including Leeds Rhinos’ visit to Widnes Vikings.
Rhinos kick off their competitive season against the Betfred Championship part-timers at 3pm on Saturday. The game will be broadcast live in full on The Sportsman’s YouTube channel. Rhinos, who will be without 10 of their senior squad, are making their first visit to DCBL Stadium since 2018 when they suffered a fourth successive away loss to Widnes in Super League before gaining revenge in the Challenge Cup and middle-eights.
The following afternoon Championship title favourites London Broncos aim to create an upset against Super League newcomers Bradford Bulls at Cherry Red Records Stadium in Wimbledon. The tie kicks-off at 3pm and will be covered live on the BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport website. Bulls were the underdogs last year when they beat Castleford Tigers at the same stage of the competition.

Before that, there’s a bonus game on The Sportsman YouTube channel which will stream Paul Rowley’s first competitive fixture as St Helens coach, away to second-tier Workington Town. The match kicks off at 7.30pm on Friday.
Challenge Cup third round televised matches: Friday - Workington Town v St Helens, 7.30pm, The Sportsman YouTube channel; Saturday - Widnes Vikings v Leeds Rhinos, 3pm, The Sportsman YouTube channel; Sunday - London Broncos v Bradford Bulls (3pm), BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport website.
