Wakefield Trinity v Warrington Wolves Grand Final: Old Trafford sold out as Super League crowds pass 2 million
Today’s (Saturday) Grand Final between Wakefield Trinity and Warrington Wolves is sold out.
The exact figure has not been revealed, but RL Commercial say Saturday’s crowd will take attendances at Betfred Super League matches this season past two million for the first time. Trinity are making their debut in the big game and Warrington haven’t featured at Old Trafford since 2018.
It is the first time none of Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors or St Helens has made it to the last game of the campaign. RL Commercial managing director Rhodri Jones said: “Selling out the Betfred Super League Grand Final is a fantastic way to finish what has been a landmark season for the competition.

“To then pass two million attendances across the season for the first time is another significant milestone and a reflection of the incredible support our clubs and players have received throughout 2026. We’re incredibly proud of the numbers, but most importantly of the atmosphere and energy our fans have created at grounds across the country this year. Now we have a sold-out Old Trafford to look forward to, with everything in place for a brilliant Grand Final.”
