'We've carried every high and heartbreak for 39 years -why Leeds United's Wembley return means everything'
Leeds United Supporters’ Trust have written a special column for the YEP today ahead of the club’s trip to Wembley 🟡 🔵
After 39 years Leeds United are back at Wembley for an FA Cup semi-final.
Since we last got to this stage in 1987, our club has had 34 managers, been crowned the last true champions of English football, got to two European semi-finals, celebrated four promotions and suffered three relegations.
We've gone from the highs of a Champions League semi-final, to the lows of League One.
We define ups and downs like no other club and that is why this special day is for all of you Leeds fans.
Whether this is your first time seeing the Whites at Wembley or if you're a veteran from the 1972 victory, this is for you.
This is for Histon, for Chris and Kev, for Bolton away.

This is for Don Revie and Marcelo Bielsa, for Billy Bremner and Daniel Farke.
This is for singing “And we're proud of it we're Leeds” when we're losing in the soaking rain.
For the years of travelling to games with nothing but hope.
For being hated and called dirty Leeds, and wearing that label like a mark of honour.
This team, this season, have defied history time and again. So why not a couple more times? If anyone has earned the right to dream, after all we've been through, it is us.
And now, let's do what we do best and make the Wembley rafters rumble.
