West-Yorkshire business scores sponsorship with Bradford City AFC through Sage competition

Business owner, Usman Aswat, visited the team at Bradford City AFC today to celebrate the partnership alongside midfielder Bobby Pointon
Bradford City AFC has announced Batley-based small business, Prime Time Plumbing, as Principal Partner following a nationwide competition run by Sage, the leader in accounting, financial, HR and payroll technology for small and mid-sized businesses.
The sponsorship has been awarded through Sage’s Behind the Badge competition, which celebrates small businesses that play a vital role in their local football communities. As the Official Accounting Software Partner of the English Football League (EFL), Sage created the initiative to recognise businesses that go beyond their day-to-day work to make a positive impact where they live and operate.
Today, Bradford City AFC midfielder Bobby Pointon met Prime Time Plumbing owner Usman Aswat to congratulate him on securing the exclusive, season-long partnership package at the Sky Bet League One club.

Founded 12 years ago, Prime Time Plumbing supports homes and businesses across the city, while also investing in grassroots sport. Through its ‘Pipes for Progress’ initiative, the company has provided travel costs, kit and training fees for young footballers – creating opportunities for local talent, including one player who went on to sign for Bradford City.
Fans will see Prime Time Plumbing’s branding around the University of Bradford Stadium this season as well as across the Club’s digital channels, with players helping to share the company’s story.
Gary Neville, Sage Ambassador, praised Prime Time Plumbing for its work in the local community:“We all know just how much of a role local businesses play in supporting the cities and towns they support on match days across the country.
"Congratulations to Prime Time Plumbing on their win, they should be proud of the work they do for their local community in Bradford. It’s important that we highlight the businesses that keep local communities moving and I’m proud that we can play a small role in championing them.”
Usman Aswat, owner of Prime Time Plumbing, said: “We have always believed that football is the glue that holds our community together.
"We started plumbing service 12 years ago and as our business grew, so did our desire to give back to the club and its supporters who’ve supported us from day one.”
Sally Moore, Global Head of Sponsorship at Sage, added: “Prime Time Plumbing stood out for its unwavering support of football and youth sport in the Bradford area and its deep-rooted passion for the club.
"Behind every EFL Club is a dedicated network of small businesses working tirelessly to make a difference in their communities. Sage is proud to celebrate the businesses behind the badge who consistently support their communities and the Clubs they love.”
Prime Time Plumbing, Chris' Fish and Chips (Leicester City, Championship) and Monarch Mortgages (Gillingham FC, League 2) were chosen as grand prize winners from thousands of entries across the country. In total, 72 small businesses from 72 EFL clubs were recognised, each receiving match tickets and Sage products and tools to support their growth.
