Power outage causes huge disruption at Leeds Railway Station
Chaos is being reported at Leeds Railway Station this afternoon due to power outage.
National Rail said the issue had led to signalling problems at Leeds with huge numbers of trains being cancelled and people left stranded.
The issues has caused problems across the country, but all Northern services to and from Leeds have been affected.
National Rail initially hoped the services would be back up and running by 3pm, but this has now been extended.
They said: “Trains may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes, diverted or revised to allow the service to recover.
“Major disruption is expected until 4pm.”
Train operators said they did not have rail replacement transport in place.
