M62 Leeds: Several miles of delays on motorway after police-led incident near Castleford

Miles of traffic has built up on the M62 following a police-led incident.
National Highways reported at 3.45pm today (Friday) that two out of three lanes had been closed on the eastbound carriageway between junctions 30 and 31 near Castleford.
This was due to a police-led incident and resulted in miles of congestion building up.
at 4.15pm it was confirmed that the road has been fully reopened but that there are residual delays of over an hour.
West Yorkshire Police have been contacted for more information.
