The “iconic” water taxis are now back up and running in Leeds and ferrying folk along the River Aire.
The two yellow were out of action from February and have now been repaired after being taken over by office and workspace provider Department.
Alex Webb, the company’s head of culture, events and activity, said: “They are an iconic Leeds feature.
“They are original Dutch water taxis from 1978 purchased by the owners of Leeds Dock 10 years ago.”
The two taxis, named Twee and Drie, travel between Leeds train station and the Royal Armouries and free to use this week; before they start charging users £3.50 per journey.
They will be in service for seven days a week between 10am and 6.30pm.
Initial users were delighted with the journey, with Matt Ogden saying: "It was a really fun ride. A short and sweet trip that was a great way to get immersed in the city as soon as you get off the train."
