Runners took over one of Leeds’s favourite parks this morning as a day of races was held.
Leeds Running Festival was held at Roundhay Park and saw hundreds of runners make the best of their Sunday morning.
There were 5k, 10k and half marathon routes around the park, which is one of Europe’s largest, taking in The Manion and the ruins of Roundhay Castle.
The scenic, road and gravel route offers peaceful views of lakes, woodland, and wide open parkland in a professionally organised and supportive environment.
The event is in support of St Gemma’s Hospice and a further festival of running will be held at the park on Sunday, August 30.
