It’s been a fantastic day in the city as thousands of runners hit the streets for the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2026.

The marathon and half-marathon race, organised by the not-for-profit sporting events company Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All in partnership with Leeds City Council, is raising vital funds for MND research, as well as a host of other charities.

It’s the fourth year the Leeds marathon has taken place - and supporters turned out in their spades to cheer on the runners.

Leeds Rhinos legend Kevin Sinfield gave a heartfelt message to the runners as he joined the 5,500 people taking part in the full marathon route. More than 11,500 people took on the half-marathon.

George Ravenhall won the marathon with a time of 2:26:33, while Will Tighe was the first of the half-marathon participants to cross the finish line.

Here are 23 unforgettable pictures from the day so far - from the winners to the best dressed.
