Manchester punks Westside Cowboy gather new fans in West Leeds as Armley Moor adorns their next release this Summer
A historic corner of West Leeds is set to gain national exposure this summer after rising UK music stars Westside Cowboy revealed that their highly anticipated debut album artwork prominently features Armley Moor.
The band bypassed typical inner-city studio shoots to celebrate the distinct, gritty heritage of the area, firmly placing the iconic local green space at the heart of their major label launch.
The group confirmed that their debut long-player will be titled It Goes On and is officially scheduled for a worldwide release on Island Records on August 21.
Clocking in at thirty-five and a half minutes long across eleven brand new tracks, the announcement has already sparked a massive wave of excitement among the band's rapidly growing fanbase.

In a heartfelt message shared with their supporters, the band expressed that they are incredibly proud of the upcoming project and are super excited to finally share it with the world.
While the music itself is highly anticipated, it is the striking cover art that has captured the immediate attention of eagle-eyed Leeds music fans. The official artwork prominently showcases the distinct landscape of Armley Moor, complete with a striking visual nod to the famous community horse that frequently grazes on the historic common land.
The choice of location has already caused a major stir on social media, drawing enthusiastic responses from prominent local figures.
Among those celebrating the artwork on Instagram were Nathan Clark from the iconic Brudenell Social Club and Armley ward Councillor Lou Cunningham, both highlighting the pride of seeing the community asset showcased so prominently.
Speaking about the choice, the band said: "We recorded our first EP and upcoming album at Greenmount Studios (Interplay Theatre in Armley), hence why we wanted to use the moor for the cover.
"We are all Manchester-based so wanted to record somewhere as local as possible - we love it there.”
