Zutons frontman announces solo UK tour including Leeds performance - dates and tickets
Zuton Fever is once again set to return to Leeds in the new year, with the announcement of Dave Zuton’s solo tour next April.
The frontman for the beloved indie group, The Zutons, also known as Dave McCabe, will be striking out on his own as the nights start to grow lighter, with 13 dates lined up, including a show at one of the city’s most vaunted venues.
Joining McCabe as support for the tour is fellow bandmate, James Jay Lewis.
The tour promises to feature a collaborative setlist, with Lewis performing original material accompanied by Dave McCabe.
In turn, Lewis will support McCabe as he revisits his extensive songwriting catalogue—ranging from Zutons classics and rarities to tracks penned for other artists.
Most notably, these intimate shows serve as the debut for McCabe’s new solo material, offering a first look at a project he has been refining in private - with a debut solo single, ‘When You’re Young,’ expected to be released shortly before the tour and the subsequent solo album following afterwards.
Speaking about the solo jaunt, McCabe explains he’s been “writing loads of new songs over the last few years”, and that currently feels like “the right moment” to perform them live.
“These shows are stripped right back, just me, a guitar and the songs. I’ll play some Zutons stuff, a few deep cuts, things I’ve written for other people, but the real buzz for me is sharing the new material I’m working towards a solo record that’ll be out in 2026.”
He continued: “It feels exciting to get back to seeing the whites of people’s eyes, and to have him by my side as I head into this new chapter.”

Dave McCabe is set to perform in Leeds on April 12, when he and James Jay Lewis take over the hallowed Brudenell Social Club for the evening.
