Grammy award-winning singer Gregory Porter brings his UK arena tour to Leeds
Grammy award-winning singer Gregory Porter brings his UK arena tour to Leeds this year.
He will perform at the First Direct Arena on 11 May following the release of his sixth studio album ‘All Rise’ on 17 April which will feature a 10-member choir and the London Symphony Orchestra. The debut single, ‘Revival’, was released this week with a music video.
Gregory, who has previously performed for the Queen and on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage, said: “The concept of the music video is about revival and renewal of the spirit of life’s energy.
“For me, it’s the message of walking into this life and having some fear and self-doubt, and the point where you grab onto something that you know is real, the silent and real things, the truth.”
His last album, ‘Nat King Cole & Me’, peaked at no.3 in the UK charts.
Tickets are on sale now via the First Direct Arena website.
