Ministry of Sound Classical reveal Paul Oakenfold and Judge Jules as part of Castle Howard line-up this August

The open-air event makes its debut in York with a 40 to 50-piece live orchestra shortly before Leeds Festival.

Organisers of Ministry of Sound Classical, which is set to make its debut with the stunning Castle Howard as its backdrop on August 15, have revealed their headline DJs set to entertain audiences across the area during the summer months.

Taking place just shortly before Leeds Festival, this open-air spectacle will see a 40 to 50-piece live orchestra transform the historic estate into a cinematic dancefloor, with the event promising to bring together the grandeur of one of Britain’s most iconic stately homes with a massive, all-day celebration of the anthems that defined a generation.

This year’s event is set to represent “decades of Ibiza club culture and dancefloor-defining moments,” with four names now announced to be performing for fans during the UK summer festival season.

Leading the charge for this landmark debut are true pioneers of the scene: trance legend Paul Oakenfold, the ‘Anthems’ master Judge Jules, and acid house trailblazer Danny Rampling.

Joining them to bring that unmistakable Ibiza energy to the stage is live saxophonist Ellie Sax.

For those looking to trade the festival mud for a touch of luxury, the event is set to offer an extensive VIP package designed to elevate the entire experience.

These premium tickets, alongside a better view of the production, provide exclusive access to fast-track entry and private bar zones, ensuring you spend more time at the front of the stage and less time in line.

Set within the most picturesque areas of the Castle Howard grounds, the VIP offering includes enhanced facilities and dedicated viewing platforms that allow you to take in the 50-piece orchestra and the stunning architecture of the stately home simultaneously.
