Free tattoos available in Leeds tomorrow for National Tattoo Day celebration

Friday (July 17) marks National Tattoo Day, a dedicated awareness day for the art form's historical and cultural significance.

Once considered counter-culture, tattooing has transitioned into a mainstream form of personal expression and fine art.

Tomorrow also happens to be, for those looking to get their first (or 31st) piece of ink on themselves, an ideal time to take that well-thought-out plunge.

To mark the annual occasion, Leeds-born brand Roxy Ball Room is partnering with local tattoo studio Easy Tiger to offer completely free tattoos in the city tomorrow; the one-day giveaway is open to anyone aged 18 and over, who can choose from a specially designed flash sheet of over 10 exclusive designs and get inked free of charge.

Leeds itself boasts one of the most vibrant and respected tattooing scenes in the UK, home to dozens of highly regarded studios and independent artists.

This collaboration highlights that local creative culture, bringing together a Leeds-born entertainment brand and a popular local studio, to mark the occasion.

The designs on offer are ‘flash’ tattoos (pre-drawn, classic-style designs) that are quick to ink, making them ideal for a high-demand event, with the sheet inspired by games and nightlife, featuring illustrations like bowling pins, 8-balls, darts, and cocktails.

In addition to the free tattoo, everyone who participates will receive a Roxy AAA August Pass.

This pass grants unlimited gaming - including bowling, shuffleboard, beer pong, and pool - at all Roxy Ball Room and Roxy Lanes venues in Leeds throughout August.

The free sessions will run from 12pm - 6pm tomorrow at Easy Tiger Tattoo Studio, located at The Annex, Castleton Mill, LS12 2DS.

No pre-bookings are available; the offer operates strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

Organisers are expecting queues and advise visitors to arrive early.
