Historic Leeds estate launches new events with Christmas market and house tours
A new Christmas market is on the way
A Leeds estate is expanding its public events, as it launches a new Christmas market and rare tours of its Grade I-listed house.
Bramham Park, best known as the home of Leeds Festival and the Bramham Park International Horse Trials, is entering a new chapter with a series of new experiences.
It will begin with the first Bramham Park Christmas Artisan Market on Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15.
More than 100 artisan traders are expected to set up stalls against the backdrop of Bramham Park House, selling Christmas gifts, decorations and other products.
Visitors will also be able to pick up food from local traders in the stable yard.
The Yorkshire Rock Choir will perform Christmas carols in front of the main house from noon until 2pm on Saturday.
James Hamilton-Goddard, commercial director at Bramham Park, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to The Beginning of Christmas at Bramham Park.
“We are planning a great day out of festive cheer for all the family, filled with a variety of trade stands, music and food. Keep following us on social media as there are more announcements to come.”
Entry to the Christmas market is free, although parking costs £10 per car if booked before November 1.
The parking price will increase to £15 from November 1.
In December, visitors will get the chance to step inside Bramham Park House as part of new Christmas house tours.
The Grade I-listed house is a private family home, making the tours a rare opportunity to see inside the historic building.
Visitors will be taken around the house before being served tea, coffee and mince pies in the Old Kitchen.
The house will be decorated for Christmas, including a 25ft tree in the hall and festive decorations throughout the rooms.
The estate said it is exploring new ways to increase public access to Bramham Park and bring more events to a wider audience.
Further details about the new programme are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
