DJ sets, Light Night and BSL swims: Historic Bramley Baths launches new autumn events line-up
Leeds’ last remaining Edwardian bath house has unveiled a four-month cultural and heritage programme to establish itself as a major events destination
Bramley Baths has launched a new autumn events programme designed to transform the historic 122-year-old venue into a major cultural, heritage, and wellbeing hub for Leeds.
Running from September 2026 through to January 2027, the line-up aims to draw both residents and regional visitors to the Grade II-listed site, showcasing the space as much more than a community swimming pool.
The new series forms part of the venue’s National Lottery Heritage Fund-supported project, #Morethanapool.

Drawing inspiration from the building’s history as a social connection, dance, and music hub, the schedule features activities designed for families, children, and adults.
The programme kicks off with a dedicated BSL Splash family swim session, referencing the pool’s 1904 opening ceremony, which featured a group of young Deaf swimmers, with other highlights throughout the season including evening events featuring guest speakers, live DJ sets, and immersive poolside pop-ups.
The venue will also host its own bespoke interpretation of Leeds Light Night, alongside festive spectacles inspired by the building's rich Edwardian history, specialised wellness sessions, creative workshops, and heritage performances across its unique spaces.
Liz Moss, Heritage Project Director at Bramley Baths, said: “Bramley Baths has always been much more than a pool, and this exciting events programme is about showing people just how much this special building has to offer.
“We want to welcome our regular community alongside people who may never have visited us before, creating experiences that are unexpected, accessible and enjoyable.”
Saved from dereliction by the local community in 2011, Bramley Baths stands as the last fully functional Edwardian bath house in Leeds. The new events will run alongside the venue’s regular swimming, fitness classes, and heritage tours.
Full booking details and event dates are available via the Bramley Baths website.
