Beeston's Cross Flatts Park to host annual dog show featuring 'line dancing with dogs' this weekend
The Friends of Cross Flatts Park are celebrating their 21st annual dog show with a massive canine display team, live music, and family activities
A South Leeds park is set to host a unique canine spectacle this weekend as a popular community dog show returns for its 21st year.
The Friends of Cross Flatts Park Annual Dog Show, a landmark event in the area, features a collaboration with the Yorkshire-based Tailwaggers Dog Display Team, who will be performing choreographed musical routines, agility demonstrations, and advanced obedience shows.
The highlight of this year's entertainment is billed as the UK's largest-ever ‘Line Dancing With Dogs’ event, with organisers actively encouraging audience participation.

A series of novelty classes will also run throughout the afternoon, offering prizes for the handsomest dog, the dog with the most appealing eyes, and the dog that the judge would most like to take home.
Registrants can also compete in the best rescue, best veteran dog, and the highly anticipated best in show categories, with the pedigree classes including categories for any variety of puppy, terrier, and open classes
Beyond the main arena, the community event will feature live music from the Swing Of Things Band, free craft activities for children, and a variety of stalls selling refreshments, bric-a-brac, books, and international textiles.
The event is organised by the Friends of Cross Flatts Park, an entirely voluntary local group dedicated to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and attractive green space for the Beeston community.
