Legendary UK hardcore punk titans Discharge are set to headline a stacked charity all-dayer at Headingley’s Brudenell Social Club in aid of Batley Food Bank
UK hardcore punk pioneers Discharge have been announced to headline a major all-day charity show at Leeds' iconic Brudenell Social Club.
Titled Kilvo's 60th / Leeds Punk Rock Spring Uprising, the all-day festival will take over the Headingley venue next May, bringing together seven noise-filled acts in support of the Batley Food Bank Appeal.

Formed in Stoke-on-Trent in 1977, Discharge essentially invented the fast, heavy subgenre known as D-beat, influencing generations of thrash metal, grindcore, and punk bands worldwide.
Their headlining set at the Brudenell marks a rare intimate local appearance for the influence-heavy veterans.
In true DIY fashion, the event doubles as a milestone birthday celebration for local promoter Kilvo while maintaining a long-standing tradition of fundraising for regional causes. Joining Discharge on the seven-band bill is a diverse, high-energy roster of underground favourites.
The lineup features Liverpool’s self-styled "kitchencore" art-punks Pete Bentham & The Dinner Ladies, alongside Yorkshire's own cricket-themed Oi! outfit Geoffrey Oi!Cott.
Local representation is strong with Leeds surf-punk stalwarts Nervous Twitch and the acclaimed young outfit Indignation Meeting, well-known on the circuit for their fast-paced tracks themed entirely around British railway history.
Organisers have confirmed that every penny raised from ticket proceeds and on-the-night collections will go directly toward supporting the Batley Food Bank Appeal.
When and where can I get tickets for Kilvo's 60th / Leeds Punk Rock Spring Uprising?
The all-day gathering takes place at Headingley’s Brudenell Social Club on May 8, with doors opening at 3pm and the music kicking off at 3:30pm.
Advance tickets are priced at £20 plus booking fee and went officially on general sale on August 3 via the Brudenell Social Club website, Jumbo Records, See Tickets, and Gigantic.
With tickets strictly capped per customer and a legendary headliner topping a stacked seven-band bill in an intimate room, spaces are expected to sell out well ahead of time.
While the official band running times and specific stage splits are being kept closely guarded until nearer the date, promoters have hinted that attendees who bring physical non-perishable food items for the Batley Food Bank collection box on the door may just unlock a few exclusive venue perks and unannounced guest surprises before the first chord is struck.
