The West Yorkshire icons will celebrate three decades together with a homecoming-style performance this November following the release of their ninth album, 'Avalanche'.

West Yorkshire indie legends Embrace have officially announced a major headline date at the O2 Academy Leeds as part of a sprawling UK tour celebrating their 30-year milestone.

The show follows the release of their highly anticipated ninth studio album, Avalanche, which is due to arrive on June 12.

The announcement comes as the band experiences a huge surge in demand, with their upcoming summer headline show at Halifax’s Piece Hall already completely sold out.

Led by singer Danny McNamara, the five-piece band, who have sold over two million albums worldwide, say their new material is the most "honest, open, and raw" work of their career.

Speaking on the themes of the new album and the lead single 'Stop', Danny McNamara reflected on the band’s newfound sense of freedom.

"The pressure we put on ourselves to be better, bigger, fixed, sorted, is kind of absurd," McNamara said. "That song is a demand, to myself as much as anyone, to stop, look around, and actually live in the moment."

He added: "We weren’t trying to write something definitive... we just wanted the songs to feel honest in the moment they were written. Musically, that meant choosing feel over perfection. We wanted the music to sound human; rough around the edges."

2026 is shaping up to be a definitive year for the Brighouse-formed group; alongside the new album and the November tour, the band is marking their 30th anniversary with a series of major festival appearances, a spoken-word theatre tour detailing the story of the band's rise and the release of a brand-new book.
