House of Pain legend Everlast announces intimate Leeds gig at Jumbo Records for album comeback
Grammy-winning hip-hop legend and roots-rock pioneer Everlast is set to bring his highly anticipated comeback album to Leeds for an exclusive, intimate in-store performance
Leeds music fans are in for an incredibly rare up-close encounter with a true alternative music icon this September.
Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and rap legend Everlast has officially confirmed an intimate in-store performance and signing session at the city’s legendary independent hub, Jumbo Records.
Best known across the globe for fronting House of Pain and delivering 1992’s multi-generational hip-hop anthem ‘Jump Around’ , Everlast has spent the last three decades continuously tearing up the genre rulebook.

From his triple-Platinum solo masterpiece ‘Whitey Ford Sings the Blues’ and its enduring acoustic-rock anthem ‘What It's Like’ to his Grammy award-winning collaboration with guitar titan Santana , the genre-blurring pioneer has spent his career redefining the intersection of rap, blues, and roots-rock.
The intimate Leeds appearance comes in direct celebration of his brand-new studio album, ‘Embers to Ashes,’ which officially drops on August 28 through Martyr Inc Records in partnership with Thirty Tigers and Regime Music Group.
Marking his first full-length album release in eight years, the project marks a profound artistic rebirth shaped by an intensely turbulent era of personal upheaval.
"The album is a collection of songs that revolve around my last decade, not necessarily autobiographical but ‘inspired by’ the chaos, losses and a few wins," Everlast says of the new material.
Attendees at the Jumbo Records set can expect a powerful display of storytelling from an artist who continues to use his rap-honed pen and earthy baritone to reflect on life's hardest-won wisdom.
The performance will showcase new material, including the freshly released single ‘My Hollywood’ - a lighter-hearted take on the turbulent peaks and valleys of entertainment success —and the deeply soulful introductory single ‘Stones’.
The record also promises to tackle broader socio-political realities head-on, featuring pieces like the haunting, ghostly protest track ‘Rubber Bullets,’ which was penned during the immediate fallout of George Floyd’s murder.
Everlast will be coming to Leeds on September 3 - for full access information and specific entry requirements, fans should visit the official Jumbo Records website.
