On Wednesday, volunteers gathered at the historic Harewood Estate to take part in a unique project.
A collaboration between Northern Monk and Harewood House, the project saw volunteers gather hops from the estate’s historic walled garden.
Originally planted in 1999 by head gardener Trevor Nicholson, the hops were then transported to Northern Monk’s brewery just a stone’s throw away, where they will be turned into a special-edition green hop beer.
Enjoy these 11 colourful photos from the event, captured by Yorkshire Evening Post photographer Gerard Binks.
