In Pictures: Revellers arrive at shuttle stop ahead of first day of Leeds Festival 2026

Kasabian make a historic Leeds Festival appearance as revellers begin their journey from the city centre to Bramham Park

Come rain and the threat of potential thunderstorms looming over Bramham Park or shine, revellers began their pilgrimage by First Bus to Bramham Park today for the first (and very first) day of Leeds Festival 2026.

With this evening’s headline performance by Kasabian taking place a day earlier than the usual festival affair, the Yorkshire Evening Post went down to Sovereign Street, the site where shuttle buses are ferrying festival crowds this year, as many began their Bank Holiday sojourn to the site.

Those who are looking to set off later this week can follow our handy travel guide for all your options getting to the park and back.
