Leeds weekend gig guide: The Fratelli's, RNB Mania and the shows not happening at Bramham Park

While thousands take over Bramham Park for Leeds Festival, 2000s indie heavyweights, outdoor R&B jams, and a celebrated town festival lead a massive Bank Holiday weekend of live music across the region

With the August Bank Holiday weekend finally upon us, Leeds’ music calendar is operating at absolute peak capacity.

Festival season is reaching its grand finale across the country, and while Bramham Park plays host to the region's biggest party of the summer, the surrounding venue circuit is showing zero signs of slowing down.

For those not braving the elements and wristbands at Leeds Festival, the rest of the region is serving up a stacked three days of live entertainment - from open-air courtyard sessions to grassroots venue showcases.

Adding to the Bank Holiday excitement is the triumphant return of Morley Arts Festival 2026, bringing a vibrant showcase of arts, culture, and live performances back to the town across Saturday and Sunday.

The Fratellis (Tileyard North, Wakefield - Friday)

Scottish indie icons The Fratellis head to Tileyard North on Friday evening to kick off the Bank Holiday weekend with a massive outdoor-style courtyard party.

Best known for their rowdy, infectious hooks and timeless festival anthems like ‘Chelsea Dagger’ and ‘Whistle For The Choir,’ the Glasgow trio lead an absolute powerhouse lineup of 2000s indie nostalgia.

Joined by Birmingham indie favourites The Twang and high-energy garage rockers The Subways, this outdoor show at Wakefield’s waterfront creative complex promises one of the biggest sing-alongs of the entire Bank Holiday weekend.

RNB MANIA (Project House, Leeds - Saturday)

Over in Leeds, Project House transforms its outdoor space for a huge day-to-night celebration of classic and modern R&B.

Running throughout Saturday, RNB MANIA brings an open-air festival atmosphere to the Armley venue, packed with non-stop anthems, local DJs, street food traders, and summer party vibes.

For those wanting a dance-heavy day out without navigating the festival trek to Bramham Park, this open-air session offers the ultimate city-based alternative.

The Vaccines (Tileyard North, Wakefield - Sunday)

Closing out the Bank Holiday weekend in style, UK indie stalwarts The Vaccines take over Tileyard North for a Sunday evening finale.

Having built a reputation as one of the country's most reliable and energetic live acts, the band's setlist will be brimming with fast-paced classics including ‘If You Wanna,’ ‘Post Break-Up Sex,’ and ‘Teenage Icon,’ alongside fresh material from their latest release.

Supported by cult indie favourites Spector and fast-rising Halifax indie-pop artist Ellur, this stacked bill offers a high-impact end to three days of live music across West Yorkshire.
