“You had me worried Leeds”

Lewis Capaldi is certainly not shy when it comes to voicing his opinions.

The pop superstar is known for his comedy chops as well as his soulful singing voice. He was the headline act for the second day of the brand new Roundhay Festival in Leeds.

The ‘Someone You Loved’ crooner topped a bill that included rising stars like Kerr Mercer, Jessie Murph, and Conan Gray. Crowds flocked to Roundhay Park to enjoy the good music, vibes and sunshine today (July 4).

Lewis Capaldi was the final act of the day and came out to a huge crowd in Leeds. After stepping out on the stage, the cheeky singer made reference to his tongue-in-cheek ‘rant’ on Graham Norton last year.

Appearing on the BBC talk show in late 2025, he commented on the sales of tickets for Roundhay Festival at the time and said: “Leeds, what the f*** are you playing at?”

Fast forward to the present day and Capaldi had another cheeky joke to make. He told the audience: "You had me worried Leeds. What the f*** was going on?"
