Live At Leeds In The City and In The Park festivals cancelled next year so organisers can 'move forward'

The organisers of a set of two festivals in Leeds have announced that the 2026 editions will not go ahead.

Live At Leeds In The Park, which is held at Temple Newsam, and the city-wide ‘In The City’ events have been paused for next year so that the organisers can focus on the following year, which will be the 20th anniversary of ‘In The City’.

“Both festivals are organised by a small, passionate team of music lovers, who have been proud to deliver amazing festivals, every year for the last 18 years. However, we have decided that we need to pause for a year to allow us to move forward with the best possible version of the festival for the future.

“We know how important both festivals are to the city, to the independent businesses they support, to the emerging artists they showcase but most of all to the fans of live music who support us year in year out.

“The team are fully committed to coming back, better than ever, for our 20th anniversary in 2027 and we are excited to share our plans with you soon.”

The 2025 ‘In The Park’ festival was headlined by Bloc Party and Manic Street Preachers and the ‘In The City’ festival, which champions new and emerging artists, saw performances from Fat Dog and Jalen Ngonda.
