WentFest started life back in 2017 as Wentworth Festival in the grounds in front of Wentworth Woodhouse, where previous headline acts included Heather Small, Tony Hadley, The Feeling, Heaven 17, Lemar, Kim Wilde, Tony Christie and more.

Radio star organisers Toby Foster and Steve White say it's the same fantastic family event full of music, comedy and all-round fun for everyone to enjoy.

Saturday opens at 11am and it's the same recipe of fun, laughter and music as ever. There is a New Music Tent curated by The BBC's Christian Carlisle, while The Last Laugh Comedy Stage features a full day of live comedy from some of the biggest names on the UK comedy circuit, in partnership with The Last Laugh Comedy Club, the longest-running comedy club in Yorkshire. There's also a chill out tent for the kids who just need to have a minute.

This year's WentFest also features Daz Cadwallander, Mick Ferry, Matt Richardson, Rich Wilson, Nina Gilligan, Scott Bennett, Danny McLoughlin, Katie Tracey, Clayton Jones, Ricky Balshaw, Tiny Barbara's Surf Club, At The Arcade, Martyn Scott, LPMC, Monterey, Kenzie, plus much more.

This year's event is proudly supporting Rotherham Hospice.

Toby and Steve say it's been the hardest ever year for small and medium sized events but today they thanked supporters for ensuring Wentfest continues to make memories.

In a social post they said; 'So this is it, a huge week for us. "In what has been the hardest year ever for small/medium sized events, where many have had to cancel or postpone due to rising costs or low ticket sales, we are still here and looking forward to the weekend.

"We’ll be honest, it’s been tough. We cannot thank everyone enough who has supported us for the last seven years.

“Please do spread the word about our fantastic family-friendly event, this year in the heart of Rotherham at the stunning Hooton Lodge Farm.

"Tell your friends, let’s celebrate this great festival that we created - just two mates who love putting stuff on for people to enjoy.

"We are not a national or multi-national events company, far from it.

"But we have created so many great memories so far… let’s make next weekend another example of that."
