Out of Office: Richard McCann launches early-evening house night to support Leeds families

A new early-evening club night, Out of Office, is launching in Leeds to offer house music lovers a different way to switch off while supporting a vital local cause.

Created by renowned motivational speaker, bestselling author, and lifelong house music fan Richard McCann, the event is designed specifically for those who spend their working lives under pressure.

Out of Office provides a positive, inclusive way to unwind without the gruelling intensity of late-night clubbing.

Taking place in the early evening, the event blends high-quality house music with a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and is aimed at professionals who want to enjoy themselves and meet others, but still feel human the next day.

The party strictly ends at 11pm, ensuring attendees can be in bed by midnight.

The focus of the night is firmly on connection, wellbeing, and shared experience rather than excess and for Richard, the project is deeply personal.

“House music has been part of my life since the mid-80s,” Richard says. “It’s always been about unity, release, and belonging.

“Out of Office is about recreating that feeling for people who work hard, carry responsibility, and deserve a space where they can simply be themselves, while also giving something back.”

A core pillar of the event is its charitable purpose. In line with Richard’s long-standing commitment to social impact, all proceeds from Out of Office will go directly to Home-Start Leeds.

The charity provides essential support to families and communities in need across the city, making every ticket purchased a direct contribution to local welfare.

The event taps into a growing trend of ‘conscious clubbing’ - experiences that prioritise mental health and community.

For professionals who feel increasingly stretched and disconnected, Out of Office offers a chance to step away from work mode and leave feeling energised rather than depleted.
