Oxford shoegaze icons Ride have announced a major return to Leeds as part of a six-date UK headline tour for February 2027.
The tour, titled ‘Here And Now,’ will see the four-piece - comprising Mark Gardener, Andy Bell, Laurence ‘Loz’ Colbert, and Steve Queralt - take to iconic venues across the country, including London's O2 Academy Brixton, Manchester's Albert Hall, and Glasgow's Barrowland Ballroom.
The announcement comes following the release of their critically acclaimed seventh studio album, ‘Interplay,’ which was supported by an extensive world tour across North America, Europe, the UK, and Ireland.
Formed in Oxford in 1988, Ride emerged as one of the defining bands of the UK shoegaze movement alongside scene contemporaries My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive.
After forging a formidable live reputation and releasing classic 90s albums like ‘Nowhere’ and ‘Going Blank Again’ through Alan McGee's Creation Records label, the band originally parted ways in 1996.
Guitarist Andy Bell went on to form Hurricane #1 before joining Oasis as bassist and later playing with Beady Eye, while frontman Mark Gardener pursued a successful solo career and production work.
Ride officially reunited in 2014 and have since enjoyed a celebrated second chapter with four acclaimed post-reunion albums.
Before kicking off the 2027 UK run, the band are scheduled to perform international festival dates at Rockmansai in Tokyo, Japan, and Visor Fest in Valencia, Spain this September.
