The countdown is officially over.

This weekend, Roundhay Park transforms into a massive hub of live music as global entertainment giants AEG Presents bring one of the summer's most anticipated events to Leeds - Roundhay Festival 2026.

With Pitbull kicking things off on Friday (July 3), followed by Lewis Capaldi on Saturday (July 4), and All Things Orchestral wrapping up the weekend on Sunday (July 5), tens of thousands of music fans are set to descend on the park.

If you have a ticket, organisers have put several strict conditions, safety policies, and amenities in place that you need to be aware of before setting off. Here is the definitive guide to navigating the site.

What can, and should, you bring?

While security screening will be thorough, there are a few essential items you should absolutely prepare to pack to ensure a smooth day.

First, ensure you have an acceptable form of physical photo ID if you look under 25, such as a passport or a full photocard driving license, as the site operates a strict Challenge 25 policy for alcohol sales.

You should also bring a refillable water bottle or an unopened plastic water bottle up to 500ml to utilise the free hydration stations.

Because this is an outdoor show with zero cover in the main arena, attendees are urged to dress for the unpredictable British weather by packing sunscreen and hats alongside waterproof coats and sturdy shoes.

The 'Once You're In, You're In' rule

The most critical operational rule to plan your day around is that there is no re-admission to Roundhay Festival.

Once your ticket is scanned and you pass through the gates, you cannot leave the site and come back in later.

Make sure you have absolutely everything you need for the day with you when you join the queue.

Gate times and strict last entry

Timings vary slightly depending on which day you are attending, and turning up late will mean missing out entirely as the Box Office closes early.

  • Friday & Saturday (Pitbull / Lewis Capaldi): Gates open at 1pm. The absolute last entry is strictly 8:30pm, and the on-site Box Office closes at 8pm.
  • Sunday (All Things Orchestral & Afterparty): Gates open later at 2pm. The last entry cut-off is 7:30pm, with the Box Office closing at 7pm.
  • The Curfew: Headliners on all three nights are scheduled to finish at approximately 10:30pm.

Organisers strongly advise arriving well ahead of the last entry times to clear security checkpoints in case of heavy queuing.

Ticket collection details

If you are collecting your physical tickets at the event, you must head to either the West or East Box Office.

To claim them, you will need to present:

  • The exact credit or debit card you used to purchase the tickets.
  • A valid photo ID.
  • A printed or digital copy of your email confirmation.

Payments, water, and amenities

The entire site is 100% cashless, meaning there are zero cash points available.

All bars, artisan food traders, and official merchandise stalls strictly accept Chip & PIN or contactless digital payments up to £100.

While you cannot bring outside food or drink, you are allowed to bring an empty reusable bottle or an unopened plastic water bottle up to 500ml and free drinking water tap stations will be clearly signposted and mapped across the site for refills.

If your phone battery runs low, charging vending machines where you can rent a power bank will be located at the main welfare tents.

BSL Interpretation & Accessibility

Roundhay Festival offers British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation for all acts on the Main Stage across all three days.

Deaf and hard-of-hearing customers can visit the Accessible Customer Services Hub at the Main Stage Grandstand upon arrival for more information.

Safety, welfare, and 'Ask for Angela'

The festival will be operating the 'Ask for Angela' initiative across the entire site. If you feel unsafe, vulnerable, or threatened at any point, you can approach any member of the stewarding team, bar staff, food traders, or event management and ask for 'Angela'.

This discreet signal will immediately alert them that you need assistance, and a trained member of staff will support you.

For everyone's safety and well-being, a comprehensive CCTV system controlled by AEG Presents Ltd will also be in operation across the entire event site for the duration of the weekend.

If you become separated from your party, external meeting points are located at both the East and West entrances. Inside the arena, the main Welfare Tent, located in the western area of the site, is the designated official internal meeting spot.

Fully trained and experienced staff will operate medical and welfare provision at both the West and East entrances, hosting Lost Property, a quiet space, and baby-changing facilities.

If you need to bring vital prescription medication, bring only what you expect to need for the duration of the event.

It must be clearly labelled, and the name on the prescription label must match your ticket ID.

It can be safely stored and refrigerated at the Welfare Area if required, but it must be self-administered.

Tickets are still available to attend the inaugural Roundhay Festival - for more information or ticketing options, visit the official Roundhay Festival website or Ticketmaster.
