Post-punk’s most sharp-tongued duo are heading to West Yorkshire as Sleaford Mods bring their high-energy UK tour to the O2 Academy Leeds.
Known for their minimalist beats and Jason Williamson’s biting social commentary, the Nottingham pair are set to deliver a night of raw, unfiltered music that has become a staple of the British alternative scene tomorrow evening (January 12.)
Since forming in 2007, the duo - comprised of vocalist Williamson and producer Andrew Fearn - have transformed from a bedroom operation into a genuine chart powerhouse. Their journey has seen them evolve from illicit bootleg samples and DIY CD-Rs to critical acclaim on Rough Trade Records.
Recent years have been particularly prolific, with 2023's UK GRIM reaching number three on the Official Albums Chart, followed by their 13th studio album, The Demise of Planet X, which debuted at number six in January 2026.
Now veterans of the festival circuit and ‘national treasures’ to a loyal fanbase, the band continues to push boundaries, recently collaborating with everyone from Game of Thrones actress Gwendoline Christie to alternative staple Aldous Harding.
Whether you’re a long-term fan or heading to see them for the first time, navigating a sold-out city centre gig requires a bit of planning.
From the strict bag policies at the O2 Academy to the expected setlist that has been tearing up venues across the country, we have everything you need to know to make the most of the night.
What time are doors opening for Sleaford Mods in Leeds?

Doors for the O2 Academy Leeds are scheduled to open at 7pm
With support act Heartworms set to open the show, fans are advised to arrive early to clear security.
Curfew for the event is strictly 11pm.
What is the bag policy for the O2 Academy Leeds?
The venue maintains a strict security stance to ensure the safety of all attendees, meaning you should think carefully about what you bring along.
Only one small bag is permitted per person, and this must not exceed the standard A4 paper size, which is approximately 30cm in height, 21cm in width, and 15cm in depth.
It is important to note that rucksacks, travel cases, and laptop bags are explicitly prohibited from entering the arena, and there are no on-site cloakroom facilities available for large items or luggage. If you are arriving from out of town with larger bags, you are encouraged to use local independent storage services such as Stasher to secure your belongings before heading to the queue.
Several items will be confiscated at the door to comply with the venue's licensing and safety rules. You cannot bring your own food or drinks into the building, and this includes all cans, glass bottles, and alcoholic beverages.
Security will also be looking out for professional filming equipment, such as cameras with detachable lenses and audio recording devices, which are not permitted. To avoid delays at the entrance, ensure you aren't carrying any sharp objects, weapons, tools, laser pens, or large umbrellas, as these will be removed during the mandatory search process.
Additionally, aerosols, perfumes over 100ml, and any items deemed a risk to public safety will be seized.
To ensure a smooth night at the bar and the entrance, the O2 Academy Leeds strictly operates a Challenge 25 policy. If you are lucky enough to look under the age of 25, you will be asked to provide valid photographic identification before being served alcohol or, in some cases, to verify your age for entry to the show.
The venue accepts original, in-date documents only, specifically a full driving licence, a provisional licence, or a valid passport. Photocopies or photos of ID on your phone will not be accepted, so make sure you have the physical document on your person to avoid any disappointment at the gates.
Are tickets still available to see Sleaford Mods in Leeds?
If you are looking to secure a last-minute spot at the O2 Academy, there is still a chance to grab a ticket, though options are becoming limited as the show date approaches.
Currently, Stalls Standing tickets are available for £34.35, with the same price applied to unreserved balcony seating and standing areas.
For those looking for a slightly cheaper entry point, verified resale tickets for the stalls have recently been seen starting from £28.75, though these prices fluctuate based on demand.
