The Fratellis announce rescheduled Leeds date after postponement over illness
Scottish indie-rockers The Fratellis have officially confirmed the rescheduled date for their highly anticipated Leeds show, following the postponement of their previous concert.
The band were forced to push back the 17-date sell-out run just days before it was due to kick off this month, citing lead singer and guitarist Jon Fratelli’s ongoing health issues.
In a statement that "broke their musical hearts," the trio - Jon, Barry, and Mince Fratelli - confirmed that medical advice made the postponement the "only sensible option."
But the band have now announced their new tour dates across the United Kingdom in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Costello Music, including their performance at the O2 Academy Leeds, which was initially meant to take place on February 19.

The band will now instead be performing in Leeds on February 25 2027, with fans in the city who held tickets for the original date this year being advised that all original tickets will remain valid for next year’s date.
While the headline tour has moved to 2027, the band has confirmed that all of their scheduled summer 2026 festival dates, including appearances at the MacMoray Easter Festival and Neighbourhood Weekender, will still go ahead as planned, giving Leeds fans a chance to see them in a festival setting before the headline show returns.
Pairing the stomping sing-alongs for which The Fratellis first found fame with lush songs steeped in brass and strings, the record was a treasure trove of excess, earning the band a top-three chart position in their home country as well as praise from the likes of Gigwise and Riff Magazine.
A deluxe version of the record arrived in 2022, featuring eight unheard tracks.
