Free yoga in Leeds this Saturday as family-run yoga studio celebrates first birthday
This sounds like the perfect way to try yoga for the first time 😊
A yoga studio in Meanwood is marking its first birthday by offering free yoga taster classes for children and adults on Saturday June 6.
Love Yoga Leeds, which is based in the Grade II listed building Chapel House on 378 Meanwood Road, will celebrate one year of business by offering free half-hour classes alongside celebratory cake and fizz.
Sessions will include yoga foundations for beginners, a kids yoga session for children aged four to 13, and a soothing sound bath.

Equipment will be provided, and guests just need to wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle.
Love Yoga Leeds was founded by yoga instructor Zoë Baldwin Jones, with a mission to make yoga feel welcoming, accessible and down-to-earth, especially for people who may feel nervous about stepping into a yoga studio for the first time.
Zoë said: "When we opened Love Yoga Leeds, our dream was to create a space where people could slow down, breathe, move and feel truly welcome.
“One year later, we've built a beautiful community, and that means everything to us.”

Zoë hopes that the taster sessions will encourage people to try yoga for the first time.
She said: "We know yoga can feel intimidating if you've never tried it before, so our birthday taster sessions are a lovely way for people to come along, meet the teachers, see the space and experience the benefits for themselves.”
Love Yoga is a business built on the work of three generations of family. While Zoë runs the studio day to day with support from her husband Rich, her mum and children are also keen to help out at the studio.

"Love Yoga has become so much more than a business, it really is a family project. My mum helps behind the scenes, Rich supports the running of the studio, and my children love getting involved with setting up events and unboxing new stock,” Zoë said.
"I feel proud that they're seeing that it takes a lot of hard work, long days, resilience and self belief to build something meaningful and sustainable."
Love Yoga’s Saturday taster sessions are free to attend but booking in advance is essential.
