Big wrestling event with ‘rumble’ match to raise money for Leeds Women's Aid - how to get tickets
A charity wrestling event is set to entertain families in Batley later this month.
UK Wrestling (UKW) will welcome stars from across the country to its arena on Branch Road on Sunday, May 17.

The event will raise money and awareness for Leeds Women’s Aid.
Organiser Nicola said: “I have had a lot of support from UKW and it means a lot. I was in a women’s refuge ten years ago and I am in a place now where I want to give something back.
“I work down at the arena and got in touch with a bunch of my mates and asked if they would put on a show. I feel like I have found a home at UKW. They are all like family now.”

Wrestlers on the card include Supersonic/Superbrat Sammy Blue, Billy O’Keefe, Evan Bishop and Isaac North, who is coming from Liverpool. Ruby Brocco and Harley Harris will be two of the female wrestlers in the ring.
Matches on the card include a ‘Rumble’ match and a street fight, while there will also be merchandise for spectators to purchase and a raffle, with all proceeds going to Leeds Women’s Aid.
Nicola added: “It is all family-friendly. Come out and have some fun at the UKW Arena. It is a good time for all the kids and adults. It is guaranteed to be a great day of wrestling and a fun day with amazing talent putting on an incredible show for everyone.”
UKW Arena has live shows on every Friday night, and once a month on Pay-Per-View on a Saturday. There is also a training school which runs every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
The wrestling for Leeds Women’s Aid event takes place on Sunday, May 17. Doors open at 1.30pm with the first bell sounding at 2pm.
