Fundraising legend helping more people make memories and leave their legacy
Fundraising hero Kevin Sinfield is set to pull on his trainers for his latest challenge but has found time to help design a product which helps people organise their lives, share memories, and support the causes they care about.
The Leeds Rhinos legend is launching ‘Legacy Locker’ at the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon - the event he founded in honour of his great friend and teammate. The event created one of sport’s truly iconic images when Kevin crossed the finish line in 2023 with Rob in his arms. Rob passed away the following year.
Along with continuing his efforts to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease, the 45-year-old is committed to supporting more people with his new venture - a digital platform which supports families in safeguarding their most important documents, assets, and cherished photos and videos. Twenty-five percent of all revenue goes to charity.

“I’m passionate about it,” Sinfield said. “It’s another way of helping people and of getting people to plan, talk, and share what’s important to them.
"We often get mixed up in problems, concerns, and issues that day-to-day life throws at us, but I saw it first-hand with Rob. The most important thing, every time I saw him, was a smile.
“The fact that we get a chance to donate to charity, to continue to support, and not just MND charities, but a whole host of foundations and charities is really important to me because as you see with any marathon or charity event, it’s all for different things and it’s important you get involved with things that are important to you. We all have things that grab us.”
The race on Sunday, May 10, starts and finishes at Jamie, Rob, and Kevin’s former home ground, AMT Headingley Rugby Stadium. Once again, it promises to be one of the most emotionally powerful events in the sporting calendar.
