Grass Hoppers opens at Otley Garden Centre
Families across West Yorkshire have a brand new destination to explore this summer as the popular play brand Grass Hoppers officially opens its doors in Otley.
Following the huge success of its play sites at Tong and Tingley, parent company Yorkshire Garden Centres has expanded the beloved brand to Otley Garden Centre, welcoming families to the new attraction from Monday, August 17th.
Located on Pool Road (LS21 1DY), the all-weather destination features a secure, indoor play area alongside an expansive outdoor space boasting stunning views over the Otley Chevin.
Designed for children up to the age of 7, the new site includes a dedicated Dotty’s pre-school area for younger little ones, as well as Grass Hoppers' signature Woody’s Kitchen, serving up a wide selection of hot and cold food for both parents and kids.
To celebrate the arrival, local parents and children were recently given the chance to win entry to an exclusive 'Be the First' pre-launch event to test out the brand-new equipment before the public opening.
“Grass Hoppers has always been about making memories through play, no matter the weather, and this sits at the heart of the expansion,” said James Pretty, general manager of Grass Hoppers Otley.
“Alongside the indoor play and Dotty’s pre-school space, we have also brought Woody’s Kitchen to Otley, serving up a much-loved menu of hot and cold food for adults and little ones - so your family days out are as fun as possible.”
Established in 2015, Yorkshire Garden Centres has grown to seven locations across the region and employs over 600 people, making it one of Yorkshire’s fastest-growing garden centre groups. The group focuses on creating family destinations that seamlessly combine plant retail, dining, local community investment, and leisure experiences.
