Housebuilder donates £1,500 to Castleford Tigers Foundation
West Yorkshire housebuilder Barratt and David Wilson Homes has donated £1,500 to help Castleford Tigers Rugby League Foundation continue its vital work across the region.
The Foundation plays a key role in engaging people of all ages and backgrounds, using the power of sport to inspire positive change through health, education and social inclusion programmes.

Barratt and David Wilson Homes is a prominent supporter of Castleford Tigers and proudly sponsor seasoned prop forward, Brad Singleton, in addition to this latest donation.

Amy Hardman, Foundation Manager of Castleford Tigers Foundation, said: “Our mission is to make a lasting difference to our communities by promoting healthier lifestyles, improving wellbeing, and strengthening community pride and connection through sport, culture, and shared local identity. Donations such as this one help make that happen.
“The current funding landscape is tough for charities with many unfortunately closing their doors. That is why it is fantastic to get some support that is un-restricted so we can choose to spend the money where its most needed.
“We received £1,500 which will go directly to purchasing new sports equipment as well as arts and crafts supplies for our community activities.
“Donations like this are vital to charities and help ensure our projects are high-quality and provide a safe, welcoming environment for our local communities to enjoy.
“From everyone at Castleford Tigers Foundation, I would like to offer Barratt and David Wilson Homes our most sincere thank you. This contribution will make a difference to the people we support in the local community and encourage people to lead healthier more active lifestyle.”
Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ donation was made as part of The Barratt Redrow Foundation, which is designed to support national and local charities, large and small, across the UK to leave a legacy in the communities in which the housebuilder operates.
Gavin Birch, Managing Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West, said: “We’re incredibly proud to continue our support for Castleford Tigers and the brilliant work it’s charitable Foundation does.
“Supporting organisations that bring people together is a central focus for us as a leading housebuilder. Castleford Tigers Foundation is a great example of this in action, showing both on and off the pitch how sport can build a strong sense of identity and pride within the town and its supporters.”
