Long-serving Skipton care home boss promoted after 15 years of dedicated service
Long service award and promotion for care home manager
Staff and residents at Threshfield Court Care Home in Skipton have been celebrating with senior general manager Stacey Nicholson, who has received a long service award after 15 years of dedication - and a promotion.

Stacey joined Barchester in 2011 after graduating with a nursing degree, starting at sister home, The Dales, in Draughton. She worked as a nurse there for three years before becoming deputy manager at Threshfield Court in 2014. She was promoted to general manager in 2016 and senior general manager in 2018.
Stacey has now been promoted to acting regional director for the York area. She is succeeded at Threshfield Court by Ana Pantaleon as acting general manager and Maxwell Ofuase as acting deputy manager. Staff and residents threw a party to celebrate her achievements.

Reflecting on her 15 years with Barchester, Stacey said she loves her job, her team, and considers the residents like family. While excited about her new role, she expressed sadness at leaving but promised to return to visit.
Adele Keenan, employee services director at Barchester, praised Stacey’s dedication and long service, noting it ensures high-quality care for residents. Alison Donaldson, managing director of Barchester’s North West Division, also congratulated Stacey on her promotion.
Threshfield Court, operated by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, is committed to delivering personalised care. It provides residential, nursing, and dementia care for 57 residents, offering services from respite to long-term stays.
