Mednet raises nearly £4000 for Leeds Mind
Leeds-based company breaks its own fundraising record for local mental health charity, taking on its 15th annual walking challenge on one of the hottest days of the year.
Mednet, a medical communications and marketing agency, is proud to announce its latest charity walk event has raised almost £4000 for Leeds Mind.
This year marked Mednet’s 15th annual charity walk, which took place on July 10th when temperatures reached a scorching 32C.

The walk spanned a scenic 27.5-kilometer route from Bingley to Leeds along the banks of the Leeds-Liverpool canal.
With a fundraising goal of £3,000, Mednet aimed to surpass previous years’ fundraising efforts, reinforcing their dedication to mental health support within the community.
By the end of the walk, their fundraising total sat at an incredible £3,891 (including GiftAid), making it the highest fundraising event in the agency’s history.
Since its inception in 2008, Mednet has evolved into an award-winning organisation with a prestigious client base within the pharmaceutical sector across the UK and EMEA.
As a hub of creativity and innovation, Mednet proudly collaborates with top 20 pharmaceutical companies, continually expanding its influence and impact.
Mednet's commitment to supporting patients in every aspect of their care journey is exemplified through their Making Health Whole approach to med-comms, which aims to see the person behind a diagnosis and ensure they’re supported physically, emotionally and mentally.
Their partnership with Leeds Mind further demonstrates this ethos, as Mednet actively employs individuals facing employment barriers due to mental health issues, highlighting their dedication to supporting underrepresented groups.
With mental health challenges affecting one in four individuals over their lifetime, Mednet places mental wellbeing at the core of its values. Beyond their collaboration with Leeds Mind, Mednet has established a Mental Health Strategy Group, DE&I Group, and Men’s Group to ensure comprehensive support for employees from all backgrounds.
These initiatives are designed to equip their team with the necessary tools and resources to thrive, fostering an environment of inclusivity and mental wellness.
"We are incredibly proud to support Leeds Mind," said Miranda Stead, Mednet CEO.
"Our annual charity walk is more than a fundraising event; it's part of our commitment to mental health awareness and our drive to provide real-world impact and support.
"This year was our fifteenth consecutive year doing the charity walk, and it’s great to see that we’ve also raised the highest total so far!
"We are inspired by the impactful work Leeds Mind does and are determined to contribute meaningfully to their mission."
